Now and then - Cutty Sark
Cutty Sark in London Greenwich. The first photo was taken in 1982 when I was on a school exchange in Tring Our teachers took us for the London outing to Greenwich instead of Oxford Street, which annoyed mainly the girls. I also would have preferred to see something more well-known instead of an old ship rotting away as a museum.
Now, 33 years later, the Cutty Sark has been beautifully restored and a new museum has been built around it. Well worth a visit! And Greenwich is always on our schedule if we visit London. So much to do and to see...
The picture was taken from the same point, but the ship was lifted and moved backward.
